BJP under Nadda will form govt in Bengal in 2020-21: Rupani

New Delhi, Jan 20: BJP leader and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Monday exuded confidence that BJP under the leadrship of J P Nadda will achieve higher milestones an will be able to form government in states such as West Bengal.

'Just like Amit Shah gave effective leadership in last five and a half years to the party, I am sure Mr Nadda will take BJP to new heights. And in states like West Bengal, I am sure we will be able to form government in West Bengal,' Mr Rupani told reporters here. Mr Rupani and various other leaders from across the country are here to complete the process of election of Mr nadda as the new party president. Mr Nadda is all set to become the 11th national president of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party succeeding one of the most successful party chiefs Amit Shah.

The list of states where BJP has able to make its presence felt and also capture power include Tripura - once a Leftist bastion. Similarly, the saffron party has emerged as a serious challenger to Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. Mr Nadda's taking over the affairs of the party comes days before BJP faces a stiff electoral battle against AAP in Delhi wherein it is struggling to get back to power since last 22 years. (UNI)
