With BJP Working President JP Nadda came out heavily against Pragya Thakur, MP from Madhya Pradesh, over her comment on Nathuram Godse as ‘deshbhakt’ in Parliament, it is learnt that BJP is going to penalize Pragya.
JP Nadda said on Thursday that Pragya Thakur's statement was condemnable. BJP Working President JP Nadda also condemned Thakur's removal from the consultative committee on defence, to which she was recently appointed.
BJP also decided to drop Pragya Thakur from the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting. "We have decided that Thakur will not attend meetings of the BJP parliamentary party during the session," Nadda said.
In the new scenario, BJP does not want to give a leeway to opposition by acting first. BJP leaders also understood that these statements are giving a lot of damage to the party and government. Rahul Gandhi slams BJP over the comment of Pragya Thakur. “BJP is praising Mahatma Gandhi on one hand, but on the other hand leaders like Pragya Sadhvi condemns him by praising his killers,” Rahul said.
