The alliance of Congress, Shiv Sena and NCP has announced that Sena's Uddhav Thackeray will be its leader and the leaders will be meeting the Governor later in the day.
The alliance meeting in a hotel in Mumbai in the evening decided to make Uddhav the Chief Minister and meet the Governor to stake claim.
The alliance got a shot in the arm when the Supreme Court ordered the floor test on Wednesday making things tough for BJP to retain power. Realising that taking forward the government hastily made, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar quit and Fadnavis did not waste time to follow suit.
It is proposed that the new alliance 'Maha Vikas Aghadi' would hold the swearing-in on Sunday (December 1) at Shivaji Park.
Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde moved the resolution to form the Government with NCP's Nawab Malik and Congress's Nitin Raut seconding it. According to the leaders, the resolution was passed unanimously.
