New Delhi, Nov 24: While describing 70th Constitution Day on November 26 as a special day for the countrymen, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said this will be celebrated throughout the country along with a special event in the Parliament.
Addressing the 59th edition of ‘Man Ki Baat’, PM Modi said “ Day after tomorrow, November 26 is a special day for the whole nation as it celebrates Constitution Day. This time this is more important because we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the adoption of our Constitution."
Speaking in his monthly address on radio, he further said, " We should remember all the members of the Constituent Assembly and pay tribute to them." “ Indian Constitution guarantees all rights and dignity to every citizen and had been ensured by the foresightedness of the members of the Constituent Assembly,'' he said.
PM Modi also hoped that celebrating Constitution Day will help us to maintain the ideals of the Constitution and reinforce our commitments toward nation building which was aptly dreamt of makers of the Constitution. (UNI)
