Tirumala, Nov 24: After assuming charge as the 47th Chief Justice of India, Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, on his maiden visit to Tirumala on Sunday said that the darshan of Lord Balaji is a complete new experience.
"I have been visiting the temple of Lord Venkateswara from the past forty years but this time, it was a totally new experience for me,'' expressed, the Chief Justice of India. Earlier on his arrival at the temple main entrance, the CJI was given a traditional warm welcome by the temple priests and he was received by TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy, Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, Additional Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy.
Later along with his son Shrinivas Bobde, the CJI offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara in the sanctum sanctorum. The Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari also accompanied the CJI during darshan. After darshan, the CJI was offered Vedasirvachanam by the temple priests at Ranganayakula Mandapam.
The Chairman, EO and Additional EO offered Thirtha Prasadams, lamination photo of Lord Venkateswara to the dignitary.
Sharing his experience of darshan, the CJI said, "it was really a great experience to have darshan and blessings of Lord Venkateswara in the capacity of CJI. The temple and its precincts, the architecture, the serene environs gives a soothing feel and positive energy. The maintenance of the temple by the TTD authorities is laudable, `` he expressed. (UNI)
