Mumbai, Nov 23 : Soon after taking oath as the Chief Minister of Maharshtra early on Saturday morning, Devendra Fadnavis said that the state needs a stable government and not a 'Khichdi' government.
"People had given us a clear mandate, but Shiv Sena tried to ally with other parties after results, as a result President rule was imposed. Maharashtra needed a stable govt not a Khichdi government." Mr Fadanvis observed. Along with Fadnavis, NCP's Ajit pawar was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state. The oath was administered by Bhagath Singh Koshyari at the Raj Bhawan.
Ajit Pawar, too, concurred with Mr Fadnavis. " From result day to this day no party was able to form govt in the state. Maharashtra is facing many problems including the farmer issue so we have decided to form a stable government, Mr Pawar told reporters. UNI
