Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for "wonderfully" adhering to parliamentary norms.
He said they made their points effectively without venturing into the well, and that much could be learned from this. Other parties, including the BJP, could learn from them, Prime Minister added.
The timing of Prime Minister’s congratulatory comment over NCP just before the crucial meeting between NCP leader Sharad Pawar and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi made opposition leaders to read between the lines.
Pawar’s meeting with Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Monday is to discuss a prospective alliance with the Shiv Sena and thus form a non-BJP government in Maharashtra.
