New Delhi, Nov 17 : A day ahead of commencement of Winter session of Parliament, an all-party meeting was convened by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi on Sunday.
The meeting, which was held at Parliament Library Building, was attended by among others Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister for social justice and empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot , MoS Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal besides other leaders of political parties attended the meeting.
The Winter session will start on Monday and continue till December 13.
The government is expected to take forward many important legislative agendas including the Citizenship (amendment) bill and a Bill to regularise 1,728 unauthorised colonies in Delhi. However, the opposition parties have already stated that they will take on the government on various issues, especially the state of economy, unemployment and other crises. The Winter session will have 20 sittings. (UNI)
