Panaji, Nov 15 : Utpal Parrikar, son of former Defence Minister late Manohar Parrikar, has hit out at former Congress President Rahul Gandhi saying the dismissal of review petitions by Supreme Court on Rafale deal should be a learning experience for the Congress leader.
In a series of tweets, Utpal said, #RafaleVerdict is out and I hope this is a good learning experience for @RahulGandhi. I can give the benefit of doubt that he did all this as part of an ill-planned political game, just the way he used to visit my ailing father for politics.''
''Because the alternate is to cast a suspicion the least of which is Industrial espionage if you believe news reports about him pal around with UK based defence offset contractor or worst treasonous behaviour of secretly hobnobbing with Ambassador of adversarial country even during Doklam standoff. So sure in absence of any hard evidence I’ll give the benefit of doubt and wish he learns thing or two from this saga. #Rafale #RafaleVerdict,'' he said.
However, Goa Congress has claimed that the Supreme Court judgement had paved the way for comprehensive criminal investigation in the Rafale scam.
''Supreme Court judgment in the Review today has paved way for comprehensive criminal investigation into Rafale Scam. As usual,BJP Govt is misleading the Nation on impact of judgment Supreme Court judgment is not a Clean Chit, but paves the way for full investigation @INCGoa @INCIndia,'' Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President said in a reply tweet.
The Supreme Court on Thursday had junked two petitions seeking review of its verdict giving a clean chit to the Modi government in the Rafale fighter jet deal with French firm Dassault Aviation. (UNI)
