Dhaka, Nov6: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday met his Bangladesh counterpart Dr Hasan Mahmud here and discussed a series of issues.
Both sides will cooperate in production of two films - 'Story of Liberation of Bangladesh' and 'Bangabandhu', he said. "We have progressed much in talks for production of the two films," Mr Javadekar said.
"We discussed progress and impact of Doordarshan India which is telecast in Bangladesh and Bangla TV which is telecasted in India. We have deep rooted ties and cooperation in many fields," he told reporters.
Mr Javadekar has invited Dr Mahmud to India to take the bilateral cooperation forward. In another tweet, Mr Javadekar wrote that he also visited Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum in Dhaka.
"It was an emotional visit for me as I remembered the night of 15th August 1975 when his entire family was killed. He (Sheikh Mujibur Rahman) always inspired millions of youngsters," he wrote. (UNI)
