New Delhi, Nov 4 : As pollution continues to break all records here in the national capital, Union Minister of Environment Prakash Javadekar on Monday stressed on self-regulation to combat air pollution.
"This time, children across the country came forward to say no to firecrackers which dropped the consumption by 75 per cent. This is result of self-regulation", Mr Javadekar said while giving the inaugural address at ICC Sustainable conclave 2019. Speaking further on this, Mr Javadekar asserted that he is not in favour of government ruling everything.
"I am ready to delegate the power of regulation to stakeholders," he said, adding that they should then act with responsibility. (UNI)
