New Delhi, Oct 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday thanked the people of Maharashtra and Haryana for blessing the BJP and the NDA in the recently held assembly elections and assured them that they will continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for states' progress.
'We are humbled to have got the people’s support yet again. Our work towards Maharashtra’s progress continues!' Mr Modi said in his tweet.
Mr Modi said people of Maharashtra have blessed the NDA with immense affection.
The Prime Minister appreciated the work done by party workers, saying, "I salute each and every Karyakarta of the BJP, Shiv Sena and our entire NDA family for their hard work."
Thanking the people of Haryana, Modi wrote, 'We will continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for the state’s progress.'
BJP president Amit Shah also thanked the people of the two states and specially credited incumbent Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for helping the saffron outfit emerge as the single largest party in the northern state.
"In the past five years, the Khattar government under the Modi government at the Centre made every effort for the welfare of the people of Haryana. I congratulate the public for making BJP the largest party and giving it a chance to serve again," he said in his tweet.
Congratulating the people of Maharashtra for expressing confidence in the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance, he said, "Under the leadership of Modi ji, the Government of Maharashtra will be continuously dedicated to the progress of the state and service to the people." (UNI)
