New Delhi, Oct 24: The BJP leadership might have taken the mandate in Haryana and Maharashtra with a pinch of salt and thus the meeting of saffron party's highest policy making body - the Parliamentary Board - has been convened at the national capital on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also likely to attend the meet and review party's poll performance in both the states where the party seemed to have lost some ground especially in rural pockets largely owing to issues like economic slowdown and joblessness.
However, the BJP workers have been reportedly instructed to prepare for 'celebrations' at the BJP headquarters for rousing reception of the Prime Minister when he arrives at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Road.
While the party would be comfortable enough to form the next government in alliance with Shiv Sena, and in Haryana, the saffron party suffered a major setback as it failed to touch the magic number of 45 for majority in the 90-member assembly. (UNI)
