Gurjar leader Kartar Singh Bhadana joins BJP

New Delhi, Oct 18 : Ahead of Haryana Assembly election, prominent Gurjar leader and former minister Kartar Singh Bhadana joined the BJP on Friday.

BJP general secretary Arun Singh welcomed the former BSP leader by handing over the membership slip and party plaque at the party national headquarters. Mr Bhadana said, "I am influenced with the development works done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There is no problem, if development is low but the prestige of nation is more important and our Prime Minister has achieved success in both the fields. These achievements have influenced me to join the BJP."

Mr Bhadana has been Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Samalkha constituency and was the Cooperative Minister in Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala's government. He had also contested the last Lok Sabha election from Morena seat of Madhya Pradesh against Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

Mr Bhadana has also been from Uttar Pradesh. He is the elder brother of former Congress MP Avtar Singh Bhadana.The Legislative Assembly election will be held in Haryana on October 21 to elect 90 members. The results will be announced on October 24.(UNI)
