Aurangabad, Oct 12 : With just a week left for Maharashtra Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick-start election campaigning from Jalgaon in Khandesh region from Sunday. He will address about nine rallies across the state.
According to sources, "Mr Modi will speak up on Article 370, national security and economy and eradication of corruption."
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP's working president JP Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have already been actively campaigning in various constituencies of the state.
Former president of Congress and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi will also kick-off election rallies from tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Election Commission is gearing up to ensure free and fair Assembly elections. Voting in the Maharashtra polls has been scheduled for October 21.
Revenue officers, police and other departments have also been deputed to keep a check on unlawful activities across the state during the campaigning.
The counting of the votes in the Maharashtra assembly election 2019 will take place on October 24.(UNI)
