New Delhi, Oct 3 : The Congress on Thursday released the second list of six candidates for the 90-member Haryana assembly, where the elections will be held on October 21.
The Congress had released a list of 84 candidates, including the former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, on Wednesday. The Congress has been given ticket to Venu Singla Aggarwal from Ambala Cantt constituency, Bishan Lal Saini from Radaur and Mewa Singh Ladwa seats, said a party statement issued by AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik.
While the grand old party has been fielded Shamsher Singh Virk Gogi from Assandh, Prahlad Singh Gillankhera, Bhupender Gangaur will be contested from Fatehabad and Barwala assembly seats, respectively.
Besides Mr Hooda, the Congress had approved the candidature of AICC communication in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala from Kaithal, senior party leaders Kiran Chaudhry from Tosham and Kuldip Bishnoi from Adampur. The counting of votes will be held on October 24.(UNI)
