Pune, Sep 29 : Thunderstorm observed at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Jharkhand and at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, east Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kuch, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Mahe, Bihar Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya.
The southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kuch and Chhattisgarh and active over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region and Vidarbha. It has been subdued over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Kerala.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Bihar; Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Gujrat State; heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Uttar Pradesh Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely to occur at isolated places over West Bengal and Sikkim,, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Squally weather likely to prevail over Gujarat coast and adjoining northeast Arabian Sea and Maldives and adjoining Comorin area. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas during the next 24 hours.(UNI)
