New Delhi, Sep 21: The National Investigation Agency on Saturday conducted raids at the home of Tamil Nadu Ansarullah terror case accused associate M Diwan Mujipeer at Vellanguli in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, an official statement said here.
During the search at his house, three mobiles, four SIM cards and one memory card, besides a number of incriminating documents were seized by the national agency.
The seized material would be submitted to the Special Court and subjected to forensic examination. Diwan is being examined for his role in the crime, the probing agency said.
This case is related to arrest of 16 accused and their associates from Tamil Nadu, who had conspired and conducted consequent preparations to wage war against the Government of India, by forming the terrorist gang Ansarullah.
The NIA registered a case on July 9 under Sections of 120B, 121A and 122 of IPC and Sections 17, 18, 18-B, 38 and 39 of the UA (P) Act.
'The accused persons and their associates had also collected funds as part of preparations to carry out terrorist attacks in India, with the intention of establishing Islamic rule in India”, the federal terror probe agency said.
During investigation, it was revealed that Diwan Mujipeer was also associated with the activities of Ansarullah. (UNI)
