New Delhi, Sep 18 : The Government on Wednesday announced 78 day bonus for 11 lakh Railway employees and said the decision is to reward the workers for giving the Railways the productivity.
Announcing this at a press conference, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said the move will have an impact of Rs 224 crore to the state exchequer. He said the Cabinet presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the decision in its meeting here.
He also said the Modi government has given bonus to the Railway workers consistently for six years. The Minister said the Government recognises the railway workers contribution in making the Railways the 'Lifeline of India'. (UNI)
