New Delhi, Sep 15 : The special training programme for Maldivian civil servants will be conducted from September 16 to 28 at Mussoorie and Delhi.
A 32-member Maldives delegation arrived on the NCGG campus in Mussoorie.
The inaugural session of the Special Training Program for Maldivian Civil Servants to be held on September 16, an official statement said.
Maldives Civil Services Commission Chairman Aly Shameem would address the valedictory session on September 28.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the Maldives in June had emphasised India's 'neighbourhood first' policy and promised full support to the Maldives in realising its aspirations for broad based socio-economic development and strengthening of democratic and independent institutions.
A unique feature of the programme is that 70 per cent of the delegates are women officials.
Minister of State for Personnel, PG and Pensions Jitendra Singh conveyed his good wishes for successful conduct of the training.(UNI)
