New Delhi, Sep 13: Taking a sharp jibe at Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman over her attributing proliferation of Ola and Uber cabs for a downturn in the automobile sector, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday used the medium of a cricket match to take potshots at the FM.
In a tweet, Priyanka, referring to Ms Sitharaman’s remark, said in a cricket match one has to keep one’s eyes focused on the ball to accurately catch the ball that has been lifted in the air by the batsman.
'To catch the ball correctly, one has to remain focussed on the ball till the end and also play the game in its true spirit. Otherwise one will keep on pinning the entire blame on gravity, mathematics, old Uber etc. Issued in public interest for the Indian economy,' Ms Vadra said in a tweet.
Addressing a press conference earlier in the week, the Finance Minister had attributed the slowdown in auto sector to the growth in Ola and Uber. He remarks have evoked a sharp reaction from several quarters. (UNI)
