This judgment was delivered by HC Judge Madhumita Mitra following an application by the former police chief that the CBI was targeting him and causing his reputation in danger.

The judge said no one was above the law and the CBI can summon him any time for the interest of the investigation, which was under the directive of the Supreme Court.
