New Delhi, Sep 12: The Supreme Court on Thursday deprecated and condemned the reported statement made by a Uttar Pradesh Minister that "Ram Mandir will be built at Ayodhya" and "SC is ours", while it was hearing the title dispute case.

Dr Rajeev Dhavan, senior counsel for Muslim parties, in the case, told a five-judge Constitution bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, that a minister in UP has allegedly said that Ayodhya is Hindus, the temple is theirs and that the SC is also theirs.

Assuring free & fair proceeding, in the case, the CJI said, "We deprecate and condemn such statements.'

A batch of petitions has challenged the 2010 Allahabad High Court trifurcation of the 2.77 acres disputed site at Ayodhya.

Hindu side had already completed their arguments and submissions before the apex court. At present, Muslim side is arguing the case. (UNI)
