Bhopal, Sep 5 : The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (SC) should suggest well-considered schemes for that category to the Centre along with state-wise review reports as this would help achieve expected results, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred on Thursday.
In a discussion with a Commission delegation at Mantralaya, the Chief Minister was officially quoted as saying, “My dispensation is committed to the segment’s welfare. We are paying attention to their education, health and employment.
The SC and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act has been strictly implemented. In the near future, my regime shall bring in legislation to ensure that the budgetary allocation for that bracket is spent in proportion to their population with optimum utilisation. Apart from reviewing action plans, flaws in implementation ought to be highlighted so that timely remedial action is taken.” (UNI)
