PM Modi responds to a student on bad road condition

Shivamogga, Sep 2 : Thanks to a letter written by a College student in Hosanagara taluk in the District of Karnataka, to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Zilla Panchayat officials have initiated to repair a road in a remote village in the district.

According to official sources, Aishwarya, a college student, in a letter had brought to the notice of Modi, about the ramshackle status of a village road, and sought his intervention to repair it.

Responding positively to the student’s plea Modi brought the issue to the notice of State Chief Secretary Vijaya Bhaskar, recently.

Chief Secretary, who also responded quickly directed Shivamoga Zilla Panchayat officials to look into the issue.

The Zilla Panchayath officials, acting upon the Chief Secretary’s directions, visited the Kodase village in Hosanagara taluk and promised to give a new look to the Arodi-Mandrolli village road immediately.

The ZP officials, who met Aishwarya informed about taking measures to repair the road.

The Lok Sabha member from Shivamogga B Y Raghavendra and MLA Araga Jnanendra also visited the village and assured to get the road repaired soon. (UNI)
