New Delhi, Sep 2 : The Supreme Court on Monday ordered that Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh would constitute a SIT to probe the alleged sexual allegations levelled by an Ll M girl student against former Union minister Swami Chinmayanand.
Led by Justice R Banumathi, the bench heard submissions and arguments from a group of lawyers and the Uttar Pradesh government on the allegations levelled against Chinamayanand by the LLM girl student of Shahjahanpur.
"We order the Chief Secretary of the UP government to constitute a Special Investigation Team to probe the alleged sexual allegations levelled by the LLM girl student, against former Union minister, Swami Chinamayanand," the bench ruled.
The bench also said that the Allahabad High Court would monitor the investigation into the entire case. (UNI)
