Ayodhya: Islam against building mosque on other’s land, SC told

New Delhi, Aug 29: Ramjanmabhumi Samiti, a Hindu party, on Friday affirmed in the Supreme Court that forcibly building a mosque on someone else's land is not permitted in the tenets of Islam.

"It is not Islam of someone forcefully building a mosque on someone else's land" PN Mishra, appearing for the samiti told a five-judge Constitution bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, hearing a batch of appeals aganst the 2010 Allahabad High Court trifurcation of the 2.77 acres disputed site at Ayodhya. Counsel further submitted that no picture of a living being is to be depicted either inside or outside the mosque.(UNI)
