New Delhi, 26 Aug, 2019: The Delhi Court has extended former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram's CBI custody till August 30 on Monday.
The court has found merit in CBI's argument that more days of custody are needed to sort out the truth. Earlier, SG Tushar Mehta, who appeared for CBI, said that P Chidambaram is "wasting time" during interrogation-- Whenever officials ask him questions about rules of FIPB clearances, Chidambaram responds he will have to look at that rule. And then he reads it for an hour.
He will be produced before the court on August 30.
