Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 23 : An alert has been issued in Kerala following Intelligence reports that a six-member Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group infiltrated into neighbouring Tamil Nadu through sea route from Sri Lanka.
Kerala DGP Loknath Behra on Friday issued directions to tighten security at many places, including airports, railway stations, bus stands and places of worship across the State. The districts sharing boundary with Tamil Nadu will be also under scanner, he added.
Various security agencies have been urged to keep utmost vigil on any suspicious movement in coastal and border areas. People are requested to contact State police control room number 0471 2722500 or 112 in the wake of any emergency situation. (UNI)
