New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency has transferred out three officials after a complaint of misconduct while probing a terror funding case, a senior NIA official said here on Tuesday.
The central terror probe agency received a complaints around a month ago that the three officials, including a Superintendent of Police level officer, investigating the Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) run by terrorist Hafiz Saeed, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief in Pakistan, demanded Rs 2 crore from a Delhi-based businessman for not naming him in a terror funding case.
"In this matter, a complaint of misconduct was received by NIA. An enquiry into the allegations is being conducted by a DIG rank officer", the NIA said.
In the meantime three concerned officials have been transferred out to ensure a fair probe, the probe agency further said.(UNI)
