New Delhi, Aug 17 : A fire broke out in the first and second floor of the building next to the emergency block of All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) here on Saturday evening. Within hours, the fire has been brought under control with the help of 34 fire engines. No casualty has been reported in the fire.

Fire tenders were immediately rushed, while security stationed at the premier medical institution also swung into action to prevent any kind of untoward incident at one of the most crowded hospitals in the city.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit, however, yet to be ascertained. More details awaited. (UNI)
