Indian Army refutes Pakistan’s claim of killing 5 soldiers along LoC as “fictitious”

New Delhi, Aug 15: Refuting the Pakistan Army’s charge that they have killed five Indian soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army on Thursday called it as “fictitious”.

The Indian Army reacted after after Pakistan military's spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor claimed that three of its soldiers and five Indian personnel were killed in the cross-border firing on Thursday.

“The claims made by the Pakistan army are fictitious,” an Indian Army spokesperson said.

In a tweet, Major General Ghafoor had also alleged that the Indian Army has increased firing along the LoC to divert attention from the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

He claimed that a number of bunkers were damaged and "intermittent exchange of fire continues". (UNI)
