New Delhi, Aug 13 : Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday said the Congress is a directionless party with its own ministers having different views on Jammu and Kashmir issue and scrapping of Article 370.
"Congress leaders Karan Singh, Milind Deora, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Janardan Dwivedi have other views while senior party leaders, including P Chidambaram, Mani Shankar Aiyar are communalising the issue.
"The Congress is speaking in different voices on the special status of Jammu and Kashmir because of its frustration, despair and directionless politics," the I&B Minister said.
He added that there is no disturbance in the Valley. "Yesterday, people celebrated Eid peacefully and normalcy will return soon in the hill state. People were denied of their rights from the last 70 years. People of J&K want progress and are happy with the decision to revoke the state's special status under Article 370," he said."If some people think Kashmir will become Palestine then its their negative thinking," the Minister said.
Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram had, on Monday, alleged that the Article 370 was abrogated by the Modi government because it was a Muslim dominated state.
