New Delhi, Aug 9: Amid alleged 'propaganda' unleashed by Pakistan on social network, the Government on Friday said that if there were handles in social network which were pushing out fake news and promoting violence, such campaign would be dealt with accordingly. "If there are handles (in social network) which are pushing out narrative and promoting violence then it is definitely something which we will take into account," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar told reporters here.
He was asked to comment on some Twitter handles which were working as propaganda machines and trying to project a crisis-like situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, "...In many situations, people see through those designs. Frankly, I would trust the statement and the points highlighted by my Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) which is full of hope than the propaganda."
"It is speculative and predicting what will happen in future. I will definitely go by which is more positive, which is based on facts rather something which is based on unsubstantiated facts and figures," the MEA spokesman said. From Pakistani side, it would like to project a 'panic'-like situation. "We don't feel that is the case...neither the international community feels that there is a war-like situation that exists," he said(UNI)
