With his trip to Jammu and Kashmir in army uniform on Wednesday , the celeb soldier Lt.Col MS Dhoni, India’s celebrated wicket keeper, has begun his two week long service in Jammu and Kashmir. Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army (TA), Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be part of a special force in Kashmir. As part of the job, Dhoni will be involved in car patrolling and guard and post duty in South Kashmir.
Dhoni will continue here till August 15. “The unit that Dhoni will join is in South Kashmir as part of Awantipora based Victor Force,” sources said.Dhoni, who opted to stay out of India’s tour to the West Indies that begins this week, to spend time with 106 TA battalion that was deployed in South Kashmir to assist Army’s Rashritrya Rifiles.Dhoni was accorded with honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army in 2011.
