Palghar, Jul 25 : Tremors with a magnitude of around three were felt on the Richter Scale in the wee hours on Thursday here, the district authorities said.Talking to this correspondent Dr Kailas Shinde the district collector said that as of now there was no reports of any losses or damage due to the tremors. He added that the tremors were felt between 1 am and 1.05 am.
He also said that the local Tehasildars have been instructed to visit the villages and carry out inspections to find out if any damage was caused due to the tremors.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has recorded two tremors. According to IMD, the first tremor was felt with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter Scale at 1.03amwhile the second tremor was recorded 3.6 on the Richter Scale at 1.15am.
On Wednesday, the district experienced the tremor with a magnitude of 2.8 on the Richter Scale.UNI
