Army officers organise tree plantation drive in Delhi

New Delhi, July 25 : Officers of the armed forces participated in a tree plantation drive in the capital this week.

Lieutenant-Colonel Samrat Gautam, Squadron Leader Aarti and Brig SK Lama participated in the tree plantation drive at the MDI, Gurugram earlier this week. The armed force personnel, who are participant officers of the prestigious Armed Forces Programme (AFP-23) being organised with support from MDI, planted over 500 saplings during this event along with other AFP Course Participants, Institute staff and the regular students.

The tree plantation drive was followed by the inauguration of a Blood Donation Camp, YOGDAAN, by Director, MDI.

This initiative was made possible by another officer attending the AFP Course, Major Pawan Kumar, with the participation of Dr Vibhuti Bhatnagar and her professional team from the Lions Blood Bank, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, facilitated by Medway Hospital, Gurugram. (UNI)
