The former External Affairs Minister, Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, welcomed the verdict of the International Court of Justice in the case. In a huge win for India, the ICJ has asked Pakistan to review the sentencing of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, who is facing death sentence, she said.
Mrs. Swaraj described the verdict as the 'great victory for India'.
She further thanked the Prime Minister for the initiative to 'take Jadhav's case before International Court of Justice'.
Thanking India's counsel, Mr. Harish Salve, for presenting the case before the ICJ 'very effectively and successfully' Mrs. Swaraj hoped the verdict would provide the 'much-needed solace to the family members of Kulbhushan Jadhav'.
