Amarinder calls on PM, discusses 550th anny

New Delhi, Jul 15: Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Monday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament and discussed with him the preparation of the celebration of the 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak.

Interacting with reporters after the meeting with the PM, Capt Singh said, 'The Prime Minister confirmed his participation in the event and assured of all possible help to make the programme a grand success, befitting the historic occasion.'

It is Punjab Chief Minister's first meeting with the PM after the BJP-led NDA came to power at the centre in its second term. (UNI)
