Agra accident: AAP expresses grief

New Delhi, Jul 8 : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday expressed condolence at the bus accident near Agra in Uttar Pradesh, which claimed at least 29 lives.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the AAP said, ``We extend our deepest condolences to the families of 29 people who lost their lives in tragic #YamunaExpressway accident & wish speedy recovery for those who are injured. May god give families the strength to bear this loss.' At least 29 people were killed and several others injured, when a double-decker bus fell into Jharna Nullah (canal) on Yamuna Expressway, on early Monday morning.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bablu Kumar said the bus was going to Delhi from Lucknow, when it fell into the Jharna Nullah under Ethamadullah police station area. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has constituted a three-member high level team to probe into the factors, which led to the mishap. (UNI)
