New Delhi, Jul 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condoled the loss of lives in minibus accident in Jammu's Kishtwar district which left 35 people dead and many others injured.
'The accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar is heart-wrenching. We mourn all those who lost their lives and express condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover at the earliest,' the Prime Minister said in a message.Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also condoled the tragic accident and tweeted, 'My heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragedy. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.'
According to the latest report received here, 35 people were killed in Kishtwar, while 17 others were injured out of which 15, were airlifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu.The accident took place when an overloaded mini bus plunged into a deep gorge in Kishtwar district, in Jammu.Police in Jammu said the minibus was on its way from Keshwan to Kishtwar.(UNI)
