New Delhi, Jul 1 : The 15th Finance Commission will visit Madhya Pradesh from July 3 for three days.The Finance Commission will be headed by chairman N K Singh and he would be accompanied by members Dr Ashok Lahiri, Dr A N Jha, Dr Anoop Singh and Prof Ramesh Chand.
On the first day of its visit, the Finance Commission will have a detailed meeting with the Accountant General of Madhya Pradesh. Following this it is scheduled to have separate meetings with the representatives of rural local bodies, representatives of the Urban Local Bodies, representatives of Trade and Industry and the representatives of political parties of Madhya Pradesh.The Commission will also have informal interactions with the Finance Minister and his team of officials.
The next day, the Commission will have a detailed meeting with Chief Minister Kamal Nath along with his other Cabinet colleagues and senior State Government officers. Following the meeting, the Commission is scheduled to visit Indore where it will be given a presentation by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore on “Evaluation of Finances of Madhya Pradesh”.The Commission will undertake a number of field visits while in the state.(UNI)
