AAP hits out at BJP over allegation of scam

Agency News

New Delhi, Jul 1 : The AAP government on Monday lashed out at BJP after the latter alleged Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia of their involvement in a scam related to construction of schools worth Rs 2000 crore.“BJP's CBI checked all our files, got nothing. If there is a scam then arrest us immediately. All the agency are with you. Why do you want to stop good education of the poor?,’’ Mr Kejriwal said in a tweet.

While Mr Sisodia said, “I challenge Manoj Tiwari that if I have done any scandal, then arrest me. Either arrest me on the charge of scam by this evening or apologize to the people of Delhi. Apologize to the parents, children for whom these schools are being built.”

Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition of Assembly, Vijender Gupta challenged CM and Deputy CM to come out with white paper on his 24 pointed questions pertaining to the construction of classrooms in Delhi Government schools.

Manish Sisodia challenging to arrest him is nothing but AAP’s now well known “nautanky” (drama), he said in a statement. In place of asking to be arrested, he must reply to his questions, Mr Gupta added.

He also questioned the extraordinary interest and exorbitantly high expenditure made by Kejriwal Government in constructing classrooms without giving an iota of thought of opening new schools in hitherto uncovered areas where education is still beyond the reach unprivileged children.(UNI)
