New Delhi, Jun 28 : India on Friday strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Tunisia and said that it stands in 'solidarity' with the Government and the people of Tunisia in its fight against terrorism.
"India strongly condemns the recent terrorist attacks in Tunis. We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the attack. India stands in solidarity with the Government and people of Tunisia in its fight against terrorism," an MEA statement said here.
Twin blasts shook Tunisia's capital on Thursday. The blasts -- one on a central avenue and another against a security base -- killed a police officer and wounded at least eight people including several civilians.India has always opposed and "rejected terrorism in all its forms and manifestations", and has urged concerted action by the international community against terrorism, including cross-border terrorism," the statement said.
