New Delhi, Jun 23 : A team of Indo Tibetan Border Police on Sunday recovered seven bodies, out of the eight missing mountaineers, from near the Nanda Devi peak in Uttarakhand.
The mountaineers were reportedly hit by an avalanche at a peak near Nanda Devi, after which they went missing, on May 26. According to an ITBP Spokesperson, the bodies of the foreign climbers, which include a woman, have been found in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand at Nanda Devi, near an unknown peak, at the height of 21000 feet, towards the East direction.
The mountaineering team of the force had begun this search operation, to look out for the missing climbers, last week. The search operation for the missing climber will continue on Monday. (UNI)
