New Delhi, Jun 19 : Kota two-term MP Om Birla's elevation as Lok Sabha Speaker, in more ways than one, indicates that the Bharatiya Janata Party is heading fast to hand the reins to its GenX leadership.
Om Birla is 57 while the BJP's new working president Jagat Prakash Nadda is two years older.
Both have worked together, according to party insiders.
Birla was the vice-president of the BJP youth wing when Nadda was its president.
Both have worked closely with the leadership of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh and in several of its units. (UNI)
