New Delhi, Jun 13: Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Thursday emphasised on making the Institutes teaching different languages of the country, fundamentally strong and efficient.
"Our focus is to promote all Indian languages, for which all vacancies need to be filled," said the Minister, while chairing a meeting with the heads of Central Language Institutions, under the MHRD here. He directed the officials to meet the heads of these institutions, on a regular basis.
Dr Pokhriyal said that to promote Sanskrit language, more qualified teachers need to be engaged, who will give new dimensions to the language, both at the National and International level.
Stressing on the need to translate literature in each Indian language in other languages, so that all can avail the best of it, Dr Pokhriyal directed the officials to discover innovative ways to promote these languages.
According to the Minister, in the coming years, the Ministry will establish 'Bhasha Bhawan,' a building in which all the Institutes related to the Indian languages will be located together, working unitedly.
