New Delhi, Jun 11: Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met China’s Vice-Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen here and discussed about bringing about trade balance between the two countries.
'Had a meeting with China’s Vice-Minister of Commerce, Wang Shouwen and discussed bringing a trade balance between the two nations, clamping down on market distorting trade practices and boosting Indian service exports,' said Mr Goyal on micro-blogging site Twitter.
During the meeting Mr Goyal emphasised on the trade balance between the two countries and maintained that India's import of the Service sector be increased in China, sources said.
Trade balance between India and China is a big issue, which India has been constantly raising before China.
China has recently opened its market for many Indian agricultural products.
The two leaders discussed the bilateral trade between India and China and stressed on further strengthening trade relations. They also discussed the protectionist measures implemented in many countries in international trade.
Apart from bilateral trade, both leaders also spoke about the situation of regional trade. (UNI)
