The entire North will have no respite from the heat wave conditions for the next two days, according to the India Meteorological Department.
The heat wave conditions would pass over Vidarbha over the next five days. It will persist in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and southern Uttar Pradesh for the next two days, the IMD has forecast.
Meanwhile severe heat wave is likely to prevail in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh for the the next 24 hours.
However conditions are becoming favourable for the further advance of the Southwest Monsoon to southern parts of the Arabian Sea, parts of Maldive-Comorin Area, southwest, southeast and east-central Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours.
