New Delhi, May 31: Newbie Ramesh Pokhriyal here on Friday assumed charge as Human Resource Development Minister in the second term of the Narendra Modi Government.
Pokhriyal was sworn in as a Cabinet minister in the 2nd Modi Government on May 30.
He was allocated the Ministry of Human Resources Development succeeding Prakash Javadekar.
The 60-year-old Pokhriyal became the youngest Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in 2009.
In 2012, he was elected MLA for Vidhan Sabha from Doiwala, Dehradun constituency.In 2014, he resigned from Doiwala and was elected from Haridwar for Lok Sabha. (UNI)
